In 2002, Rhonda Bassat-Rivera started a full-service wedding consulting company called Bride Ideas, LLC. She soon found that many of her clients were asking for other types of event planning services, so Gala Ideas was created to fill this need. Bassat-Rivera began her event planning career after a decade of practicing law at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York City and Pitney Hardin LLP (now Day Pitney LLP) in New Jersey. She transferred her negotiation and problem-solving skills from the law and now applies them creatively to make truly spectacular events, with an eye on the bottom line. Bassat-Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University, and a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from New York Law School.
